SPHE currently distributes transactional digital content in more than 100 countries to digital retailers such as iTunes, PlayStation Network, Amazon, and many others including direct-to-consumer services such as Ultra 4K movies and Sony Pictures Store. In addition to Sony Pictures Entertainment’s (SPE) produced content, SPHE also distributes an increasing amount of third-party titles including Momentum’s US and international slate.
As a part of SPHE’s Commercial team, the Digital Strategy, Platforms & Services team supports and enables the growth of Sony Pictures digital content distribution through enhancement of the Digital Supply Chain, as well as Digital Products in partnership with distribution customers. Reporting to the Executive Director, Global Digital Client Services; the Manager will focus on key territories for EST/VOD TV distribution, managing avails, customer communication, and supply chain management. Also, the manager will oversee system configuration validations including third-party title set up, product setups for TV releases, client profile management, and Next Day Added Value Alpha Management.
Responsibilities
• Client Avails Management – Multiple Territories
◦ Manage digital internal release schedule and pricing for shows (including Internal Platforms) as they are scheduled, as well as communication of these details to partners via reporting and business-to-business integrations
◦ Coordinate with internal and external contacts to coordinate delivery of video, audio, subtitle, artwork and metadata assets in adherence to SPHE and customer specifications
◦ Facilitate new customer onboarding and launches liaising with partner contacts, internal servicing and Account teams to understand and document requirements and timelines
◦ Communicate with Sony Pictures Television and Platform counterparts to ensure SPHE adherence to VOD timing and availability
◦ Cultivate communication with TDAM, and territory-specific knowledge base
• Product Release Management
◦ Collaborate with other TV Client Avails Managers to determine product release needs
◦ Execute product availability by territory
◦ Liaise with Programming to ensure creation of new products
◦ In collaboration with IT, develop automations where necessary
• Order Management
◦ Collaborate with Client Avails colleagues to identify opportunities for improvements to existing processes, at both the incremental and fundamental levels
◦ Write requirements and testing scenarios, and be accountable for development priorities and scheduling of UAT to both Client Services and IT teams
◦ Challenge the status quo of existing process norms, and innovate to maximize system-supported efficiencies
QUALIFICATIONS
• 1-2 years customer service, agency, studio, media supply chain and/or Digital distribution experience
• Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
• Skilled communicator – interpersonal, verbal and written
• Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changes in priority and/or direction easily
• Flexible and adaptable with an appetite for implementing positive change
• Strong relationship builder with excellent customer service skills
• Self-starter who can be effective with minimal supervision
• Ability to manage large amounts of data either in systems, or manipulated through Excel
• Demonstrable comfort communicating with management, Business and customer contacts
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Problem solving ability
