Senior Fulfillment Manager
Our Senior Fulfillment Manager leads fulfillment activities on one weekly plus 1-3 additional titles, with a high degree of complexity of versioning, demo, content and mailing requirements. Responsible for executing plans for billing, renewals, and gift promotions and label selections for said subscription titles. Issues print orders and mailing instructions, with a working knowledge of selective binding, to the bindery and fulfillment vendor. Coordinate communications (selection schedules, cheatsheet, CM tests) to fulfillment vendor and Production staffs for title/issue instructions.
Monitor activities of fulfillment vendor and bindery to ensure all schedules and deadlines that
are essential to the titles' business are met. Mentor/train new fulfillment staff. In addition to assigned titles, this position will be responsible for establishing label selection schedules, maintaining print order template, approving fulfillment invoices, approving all mainfile counts (resolving any selection problems) for additional 5-10 titles which are assigned to Fulfillment Managers.
Bring together appropriate members of Consumer Marketing, Production, Distribution and other departments within Meredith, printer and/or fulfillment vendor to execute the objectives of assigned global projects. Assist with fulfillment/printer title conversions. Complete other tasks
as assigned. Will work closely with the Associate Fulfillment Director and will serve as back up
as necessary
Essential Job Functions
50% -Manage the administration of billing, renewals and gift promotions and label sections for assigned subscription titles. Serve as the liaison between the consumer marketing, production departments and the fulfillment vendor. Hold planning meetings with the consumer marketing staff and translate the information received during these meetings into the appropriate language for the production staff, fulfillment and print vendor. Distribute instruction packet to the fulfillment vendor as scheduled. Create and distribute print orders and mailing schedules for each titles/issue – verifying all deadlines are met. Monitor all label selections made by the fulfillment vendor and the delivery of all magazine labels and attached promotions to the bindery
35% - Create and distribute label selection schedules, maintain print order template, and approve all fulfillment invoices, monitor all label and mainfile selections (resolving any selection problems) for the titles you and your teammate work on
15% -Coordinate meetings between appropriate members of Consumer Marketing, other departments within Meredith, printer and/or fulfillment vendor to develop and execute
project plans for assigned global projects. Document all meetings where new processes/promotions are discussed involving fulfillment vendor, printer or production department
Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements| All must be met to be considered.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and/or experience.
Experience:
Minimum three (3) years magazine fulfillment or two (3) years magazine production experience.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must be knowledgeable about basic direct marketing principles.
Knowledgeable of magazine or product fulfillment technologies, beneficial.
Must have strong communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Must be detail oriented and profit minded.
Must be able to prioritize multiple projects under strict deadlines and meet and project deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good business judgment.
Requires considerable tact and diplomacy, particularly in dealing with non-Meredith service providers.
Must be planning oriented and able to organize diverse group of people and operations.
Basic understanding of mechanical requirements of fulfillment processing equipment is helpful.
