As one of three Regional Talent Development (TD) Program Managers, you are responsible for the Americas regional strategy and implementation of both enterprise and business unit specific learning experiences focused on professional competency development. You will partner closely with our HR Business partners, the TD team and external partners to ensure business relevancy, consistency, integration and quality of development programs around the world. You’ll provide performance coaching directly to our Managers on how they can best support employee development and be a go-to resource on the Bose development environment.
Unique to the Americas Program Manager role is the management of our Bose Leadership Coaching Practice, chartered to accelerating the development of our critical talent. In this role, you will manage supply and demand for coaching, build the capability of our internal coaches, source and manage an external coaching pool, and measure the impact of this investment. You’ll work with the TOD management team to evaluate coaching’s impact and determine related strategic choices each year.
This is a high visibility, business focused, hands-on, individual contributor role, reporting into the Manager, Talent Development. The role is based in Framingham, MA, and will require both local and global travel, based on stakeholder and program delivery needs.
Core responsibilities include:
Enterprise, Regional Business Unit Learning Program Management
• Work Closely with Business Unit HR Business Partners and regional HR leaders to respond to their Talent Strategy talent development needs.
• Design and deliver high impact regional learning interventions, considering the big details that astonish as well as the small details that matter (audiences include: leaders, managers, teams, individual contributors, and new hires).
• Analyze the audience, content, technologies, operational constraints, and trade-offs associated with selecting the best delivery methods for each objective to optimize design and implementation strategy.
• Demonstrate impact of the programs using well defined metrics. Continually evaluate solutions for consistency, quality, business impact, scalability and sustainability. Conduct post-learning evaluation to understand successes and improvement opportunities for the designed solution.
• Source and manage a variety of external vendors or partnerships to support enterprise and business unit programs; Prepare and manage contracts and expenses
• Educate and coach managers on their role in developing people as an essential part of their jobs.
• Participate in the development and implementation of enterprise programs, such as our Global People Management Initiative and the Enterprise Change Capability Initiative
• Where needed, deliver train-the-trainer learning sessions as appropriate for the delivery strategy for both experienced trainers and leaders-as-teachers. Serve as a role model for excellent instructional facilitation and develop those capabilities in others.
Learning Analytics & Technology Integration
• Work closely with Global Business Services Technology team to leverage learning management system in the employee development environment with relevance and accuracy
• Develop and track learning metrics to deliver insight to our business leaders, partnering closely with HRBPs on their talent dashboards
• Drive new approaches to digital learning, with a focus on employee access in real-time to best-in-class content when and where they need it
Thought Leadership & Content Development
• Stay abreast of discipline-related emerging trends and best practices (internally and externally); participate in the development of new TD offerings, toolkits, publications or knowledge
• Identify additional opportunities for content development in service of emerging business needs
Coaching Practice Management
• Work with the Director to develop and implement the Bose Leadership Coaching Practice strategy, including the annual impact analysis
• Ensure coaching solution is matched to client needs and each development experience is high impact
• Grow the capability of our internal Bose coaches to ensure master coaching attainment
• Develop external coaching sources, select and manage chosen few to help meet internal demand
We’re looking for a passionate learning consultant with the following competencies, skills and experiences:
• Consulting, coaching and facilitation skills that leave people wanting to work with you again and again
• Very strong program management; able to work in a highly collaborative team environment managing multiple priorities; managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, using time well, and doing whatever it takes to ensure amazing learning experiences
• Real world experience as a people manager or program leader, bolstering your credibility to coach others in leadership, management and employee development matters
• Ability to integrate and manage both enterprise programs and regional needs; actively make connections, and ensure global resources are leveraged wherever possible
• Expertise in competency modeling, learning path design and individual development planning across a variety of roles and disciplines
• Learning and intervention design expertise; able to design and implement outcomes-based experiences (e.g., workshops, training courses, blended-learning, mentoring programs), co-creating with stakeholder to ensure objectives are realized and long-term results through careful consideration of the audience and effective change management strategies
• Bias for action, results-oriented, highly responsive to client needs and the pace of the business; not afraid to test and pilot
• Solid understanding of training metrics, LMS, reporting and presentation of data that leads to insights and action
• Experience and high interest in selecting and managing third party vendors and external content providers
• Knowledge of emerging learning platforms and modalities; look for ways to innovate and leverage technology and external sources to extend access and gain efficiencies.
• 5-10 years experience in training design, learning experience facilitation, management/leadership development, career development and talent management
• Certification in a variety of psychometric instruments strongly preferred
• Leadership coaching expertise, as evidenced by years of experience and/or coaching certification from an ICF accredited training program
• An advanced degree in learning and development, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational development, psychology, sociology, business administration, education, or related area.
