Autodesk is undergoing a digital transformation to transition our business into a modern, cloud based subscription software model. The Digital Business Platforms group is responsible for leading the digital transformation of our core business systems. We are undertaking a modernization of our Billing platform, ERP, Tax, and HCM systems in support of this transformation. If you’re an individual passionate about technology’s role in enabling an innovative organization and providing strategic leadership for the people, processes and technologies that enable our core business functions of Finance and Human Resources, then this could be the role for you! We’re looking for a strong, self-motivated individual who brings technical, process and strategic leadership as well as a service-oriented mindset in everything they do to lead a product management team that supports our core business functions.
We are looking for a Director of Product Management who can define a strategic vision and roadmap to lead a high preforming team to deliver state of the art finance, HR, billing, pricing, offering and consumption capabilities in support of our subscription business. Working as a partner with our stakeholder, engineering and product owner teams you will bring expertise in defining and delivering modern enterprise systems that enhance an Autodesk SaaS based product ecosystem. You will bring an ability to work effectively in a cross-team, cross-organization, geographically distributed environment and exercise leadership to make a deep impact through influence at all levels of the organization.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned Product Management leader who can bring subject-matter expertise, thought leadership, and industry experience to the company. You have experience digitizing companies to build rock solid SaaS platform experiences for our customers. You work to implement Product Management process excellence and procedure into the organization. You are a strategic thinker, collaborator, and leader who is highly analytical and results-oriented. You are a highly-motivated self-starter with demonstrable and extensive experience understanding a customer’s needs, the competitive landscape, and how to deliver amazing customer experiences.
Responsibilities
• Working with key stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements for new features and enhancements
• Drive planning activities forward leveraging Scaled Agile best-practices to ensure alignment across the org
• Own the strategic vision and roadmap for the Billing, ERP, Tax and HCM systems. Ensure that it aligns with the overall corporate direction and company vision. Be an expert in the domains and experienced in modern implementation practices
• Evangelize the vision constantly so all stakeholders are aligned, have context and understand where we are going
• Represent the customers. Be the champion and voice of our internal customers for the systems we build. Build impactful, personal stakeholder relationships. Bring the customers voice into the creation process. Own requirements, specifications, and release plans for all business systems
• Collaborate across teams. We win or lose as a team. Product Managers play a critical role in creating alignment between engineering teams and stakeholders. A collaborative attitude and ability to develop win/win solutions is essential to the job
• Drive for the best customer experience possible. Work closely with product owners to produce, test, and deliver assets to engineering. Ensure cohesive workflows that enable customer and employee productivity in our systems
• Measure success. Measure everything. A feature's release does not dictate success. Define what success means for each solution and each capability before it goes to development. Develop ways to constantly define and monitor success even after a capability set is released
• Communicate clearly and efficiently. Coordinate product release communications for your systems. Define expectations for engineering teams and hold them accountable to success and failures
• Attract, develop, and lead top Product Managers who drive the definition, development, and implementation of our business systems
Minimum Qualifications
• Proven experience running scaled product teams and managing strategic roadmaps that cross multiple systems/applications
• Self-starter that can produce results with minimal direction but yet a team player who is able to quickly develop internal relationships
• Seasoned professional with strong leadership skills and demonstrated success defining and launching enterprise ERP solutions; history of strong working relationships with cross functional teams
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical stakeholders’ one on one, and in groups of varying size
• Strong strategic thinking combined with results-driven, practical mind set
• Ability to mix long term vision and strategy with short term tactical execution that is oriented towards delivering results continuously
• Ability to formulate and present a convincing business case and product roadmaps to executive management
• Solid understanding of cloud software delivery, deployment and management technologies and the industry landscape around us
• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree or MBA preferred
• Ability to simplify and articulate complex ideas
• Experience with agile development methodologies like Scrum
• Previous experience in implementing SAP Hannah and Hybris suite is a plus
• Previous experience in Workday Human Capital Management suite is a plus
