Description
The Associate Strategist will be an integral member of a small Strategy team, a role that requires enthusiastic teamwork, adventurous thinking, and powerful writing, research, and presentation skills. Responsibilities include:
•Support a selection of the Strategy Department’s client projects, which can include any of the following scopes of work: positioning and innovation strategies; mission, vision, and nomenclature development; leadership and staff workshops; stakeholder interviews, competitive analyses, etc.
•Assist with firm-wide thought leadership initiatives, which can include strategies for presenting and disseminating our work in creative ways, interdisciplinary workshops and dialogues, identifying strategic partnerships, researching tactics for reaching changing audiences, and identifying new ways of activating our work in order to ensure impact.
•Participate in our continued work on Culture Track, the largest national tracking study of the behaviors and trends of U.S. cultural consumers, and identify opportunities for the development of the study, and for follow up studies and conferences.
• Help with new business development, including research, proposal creation, and pitch development.
Requirements:
•Inspired, creative, rigorous, outside-the-box thinking.
•Exceptional leadership, presentation, writing, research, and communications skills.
•Dedication to and passion for the cultural and creative world, whether that be visual arts, public space, design, performing arts, and/or architecture.
•Experience synthesizing and visualizing information and insights into powerful presentations.
•B.A. required, and graduate degree welcomed.
•1-5 years of full-time professional experience.
•Multidisciplinary background (preference for those who have deep knowledge of a selection of the following fields: entrepreneurial business, brand strategy, visual arts, public space, performing arts, architecture and design, graphic design, design strategy, consulting, website and social media strategy, marketing, advertising, digital strategy, market research).
•Knowledge of Keynote and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
Logistics:
•Compensation is commensurate with experience.
•April 2018 start date.
