Description
The Senior Strategist will be an integral member of a small Strategy team, while also serving a vital interdepartmental role – both of which require enthusiastic teamwork, adventurous thinking, and powerful writing, research, and presentation skills. Responsibilities include:
•Lead / co-lead a selection of the Strategy Department’s client projects across a variety of disciplines, which can include any of the following scopes of work: positioning and naming strategies, leadership workshops, strategic planning, marketing planning, audience development strategies, stakeholder interviews, peer benchmarking studies, etc.
•Help oversee and lead the evolution of the Strategy department’s methodologies, processes, and work products.
•Help lead internal marketing for the firm, including the evaluation and evolution of new business proposals and presentations, website, case studies, CRM strategy, etc.
•Help lead new business proposals and pitches, and proactively seek inspiring opportunities for new projects related to our strategy and marketing services.
•Lead the development and activation of a new content strategy for LaPlaca Cohen across a variety of current and new platforms, including but not limited to: Twitter, Instagram, LaPlaca Cohen and Culture Track website content, podcasts, video series, etc
•Forge new working relationships and synergies across the organization, and develop and evolve products and processes.
•Help lead our continued work on Culture Track, the largest national tracking study of the behaviors and trends of U.S. cultural consumers, and identify opportunities for the development of the study, and for follow up studies and conferences.

•Exceptional leadership, presentation, writing, research, and communications skills.
•Dedication to and passion for the cultural and creative world, whether that be visual arts, public space, design, performing arts, and/or architecture.
•B.A. required, and graduate degree preferred.
•At least 5-10 years of full-time professional and leadership experience.
•Multidisciplinary background (preference for those who have deep knowledge of a selection of the following fields: entrepreneurial business, marketing, brand strategy, strategic planning, visual arts, public space, performing arts, architecture and design, graphic design, consulting, website and social media strategy, marketing, advertising, digital strategy, market research).
•Knowledge of KeyNote and Adobe InDesign is a plus.
Logistics:
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
April 2018 start date.
