Job Summary
CenturyLink is looking for a Senior Lead Portal Product Manager.
• Works and coordinates communication with Compliance, Product Development, Product Marketing, Architecture and Engineering, Service Delivery, Offer Management, and Sales to drive sales activity of federal products through the GSA portal environments. Develops product requirements and works with Product Development to implement product enhancements in the GSA portal environment.
• Responsible for developing and launching new federal products with moderate to high complexity within the federal business group. Identifies medium or long-term revenue growth opportunities that fit with the company's business model and strategy. Responsible for the planning and execution of the overall product lifecycle, and serves as both a business and technical product expert. Drives results by leading cross-functional teams with sales, offer management, and support teams.
Job Description
• Product Research & Development: Drives cross-functional annual planning to prioritize product requirements for the federal security roadmap. Develops and maintains the product business case with development scope, schedule and costs. For individual product build-outs, translates customer(s) requirements into detailed business requirements and business use cases for the Product Development team. Evaluates the cost, schedule, and design of the solution to decide the most efficient and effective development path for the business.
• Product Implementation: Works with internal stakeholders (such as Billing, Operations, Customer Care, and Finance) to define the scope and cost of federal projects, and gain agreement on project schedule, impacts, and requirements.
• Product Training: Creates and delivers system training for internal teams, such as Service Delivery in support of the product launch. Customer Interaction: Will be required to interact with the PMO, GSA, DHS, and facilitate conversations with federal agencies to gather and clarify requirements to successfully respond to RFIs, RFPs, etc.
Qualifications
• Top Secret required, TS-SCI preferred for clearance
• CISSP or similar certification in the security space a plus. Communication: Advanced written and verbal communication skills, including writing of technical documents. Must be able to influence a project team of employee owners and executives in a highly matrixed environment. Work Style: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Must be detail oriented.
• Problem Solving: Advanced analytical skills. Must be able to work through complex issues with a methodical approach. Must be able to understand and distill data into actionable items. Must be have advanced data management ability. Business Acumen: Must have an intermediate understanding of company fin
• ancial measures and financial modeling. Must have an advanced understanding of telecommunications and/or video transport industry.
• Computer Skills: Advanced knowledge and usage of computer business applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, HTML, and SQL required. Ability to learn and operate internal company systems with advanced ability. Mathematic Ability: Must be able to accurately perform basic mathematic operations. Technical Knowledge & Skills: Must have advanced understanding of telecommunications products and network capabilities. Must have an advanced understanding of product development life cycle. Must have an advanced understanding of systems development. Must have an advanced understanding of project management methodology. Travel: Ability to travel as needed (Approx. 10%).
• 7 years’ experience
• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
• Field of Study: Computer Science (Cyber Security emphasis is highly desirable) or Telecom
• Combination of education and experience be considered also
• Experience working with or for the federal government is highly desirable.
