Job Summary
We are searching for a candidate who can bring their professional communications experience to promote a positive local company image with internal and external groups, including media, customers, employees, shareholders, communities, governments and the general public.
This person will bring a positive, high energy focus to managing responsibilities for local market programs and communications to position the company in the market to enhance the corporation’s public image, and contribute to the achievement of strategic goals. A proven background in digital, social and traditional media, and recent experience with new evolving media will help this person be successful. The ability to develop, execute and measure communication plans and programs within provided budget is paramount to success.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
• Leverage investments CenturyLink has made to business and consumer communities.
• Lead development and execution of local marketing plans for existing and expansion business. Digital, social and traditional marketing campaigns.
• Manage local digital and social media efforts including, but not limited to, serving as the voice of, monitoring and responding to conversation surrounding CenturyLink.
• Monitor actions and activities of our primary competitors to identify opportunities to ensure CenturyLink remains a leader in our industry.
• Provide Marketing Department / Media Agency direction on acquisition and branding media budgets.
• Manage Social media websites and daily postings for Twitter and Facebook.
• Strong experience in digital product management, marketing automation, project management, digital marketing, online lead generation, marketing automation
• Experience with digital strategy development for increased leads, conversion and revenue build up
• Experience defining product roadmap, managing backlog in a Scrum/ Agile environment
• Proven experience in marketing and data source and defining user acceptance criteria
• Extensive experience in digital marketing, email campaigns, SEO, web analytics, content and user experience
• Proven skills in developing digital strategies, client engagement, technical marketing, analytics, SEO, SEM, A/B testing and agency relationship management
• Experience in managing client relationships and developing project dashboards, change requests, issue escalations, resolutions and mitigations
• Hands on experience in digital marketing tools
• End to end digital product management, web analytics & reporting for KPIs
• Experience defining use journey, track KPIs and analytics for actionable insights
• Experience in identifying personas and behavioural needs of customer to define priorities to develop and execute digital messaging, merchandising propositions for KPI target
• Experience in digital marketing campaigns, on-page and off-page SEO, content and UX enhancements
• Extensive experience in email campaigns, CMS, digital assents, Social media, PPC, A/B testing
• Good in analytical skills with web analytics to understand the insight of gaps and opportunities for digital initiatives
• Experience in managing all aspects of project from requirement gathering, design, development, implementation and management while working closely with cross-functional teams of merchandizers, business stakeholders, engineering teams, vendors, sales, marketing teams

Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Six plus years professional experience with a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and experience or 4 plus years with a Master's Degree.
• Experience in Media/Marketing relations, Sponsorship, including working with traditional and digital media, including but not limited to TV, Radio, DM, Print and evolving new media (online, social media, etc.)
• Proven experience developing and executing marketing plans to drive achievement of strategic goals.
• Experience in creating public relations programs and managing a variety of media inquiries, including serving as a local media spokesperson.
• Proven experience securing and maximizing sponsorship assets and programs to enhance sales opportunities, brand awareness and company image.
• Proven experience developing and implementing employee communication and morale-building programs.
• Experience with developing creative and implementing brand standards and guidelines.
• Able to work closely with local sales channels, i.e. Retail Stores, Mobile Retail Sales Outlet, Door-to-Door, MDU and Technician referral programs to coordinate activities to achieve market sales goals.
• Experience developing and executing local company events, including planning, staffing and logistics.
• Experience working with external partners to develop local marketing events and developing communication strategies and executing plans to build awareness and attendance.
• Experience building and executing community relations strategies, fostering relationships, executing plans and measuring results.
• Experience in the social media space, creating content and managing platforms.
• Able to produce/coordinate the production of audio visual materials including photos slide shows, and videos for company use.
• Serve as local subject matter expert on media environment and collaborate with the Marcom and media agency to align media plans with local dynamics.
• Serve as local point person for market specific initiatives such as product launches, offer trials and localize marketing programs.
• Able to demonstrate successful experience working cross functionally across teams to execute programs and communication strategies.
• Experience with public speaking both to internal and external groups.
• Monitor actions and activities of our primary competitors to identify opportunities to ensure CenturyLink remains a leader in the industry.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in Marketing, Communications, Customer/Public Relations or the equivalent.
• Strong Project Management skills.
• Must possess creativity and the ability to think "outside the box" for classic Marketing/PR activity.
• Experience with telecommunications industry preferred but not required.
• Proven track record of success.
• Strong and proven written, verbal, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and more. We are a technology driven company and these skills are a requirement.
• Willingness to travel 30% of the time at events and other locations to help us WIN!
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
