Job Description
This high exposure role pioneers analytical review, process design, and strategic recommendations for both gaming and non-gaming areas. You will be responsible with assisting in managing and developing all compensation and incentive programs for the company. A solid technical background and a passion for details are essential in this role.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES:
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Partner across the resort with operations team to compile and analyze labor metrics, productivity data and volume KBIs.
• Manage the integrity and accuracy of the labor management system and become subject matter expert for the labor management system.
• Prepare labor management reporting which provides timely insight into labor performance and volume driven trends.
• Prepare presentations for Senior Leadership.
• Collaborate with department operators and members of Senior Leadership to prepare forecasts, identify risks and opportunities, track actual performance vs. budget, and establish key performance indicators for individual business units and the combined property.
• Assist with new business initiatives, improvements in practices and procedures to reduce labor costs while maintaining appropriate service levels and reduce unnecessary or duplicate work.
• Participate in analytical studies including labor efficiencies, labor expense optimization, business process engineering, and time motion studies. Provide technical support for budgetary, administrative, and statistical gaming, non-gaming, and headcount and FTE formulation activities.
• Utilize advanced data-mining techniques and programming language (e.g. VBA, SQL) to create accurate and timely reports, budgets, forecasts, and labor optimization reports for individual business units and the combined property. Be accountable for the integrity and managerial usefulness of reporting packages.
• Create professional reports and presentations for senior leaders
• Organize and prepare for monthly Compensation Committee Meetings, by coordinating with requesting departments and conducting any necessary Market Analysis prior.
• Closely monitor incoming job requisitions and approving based on criteria on a timely basis.
• Participate in competitive market salary and benefits surveys; conduct strategic competitive market analysis to ensure we are meeting business needs and long range objectives.
• Assist in design and administer a cutting-edge compensation and incentive program for the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
• Bachelor's degree or higher from a four year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field. A solid academic transcript is a must.
• Pursuing on-going skill development in the areas of financial modeling and analysis and project management.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
• Solid understanding of data analysis and automation principles.
• Ability to collect relevant data, structure data models, execute and interpret quantitative data.
• Self-directed and outgoing, highly skilled in financial modeling and BI programming (e.g. VBA, SQL), capable of handling high exposure projects, and receptive to coaching and feedback.
• Ability to produce results by working within established time frames/deadlines and understanding potential barriers and next steps.
• Proven ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
• Ability to write effective reports and memos.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proven experience working in a methodical, and detail-oriented environment.
Preferred:
• Pursuit of an MBA or advanced certification.
• Progressive experience in financial and labor analytics, labor productivity and financial modeling.
• A thorough understanding of both labor management and operational excellence.
• Experience as an analyst in the Finance organization of a large integrated resort, or qualifying experience as a hospitality consultant.
• Strong internships and advanced technical skills will also be considered.
• Experience and knowledge of Labor Management System, UniFocus.

Work is performed in an office environment and throughout the property in all locations. Must be tolerant to varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination and air quality. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. A casino environment typically allows smoking.
Constant contact with executives, department management, applicants, employees and guests is necessary. Requires prolonged sitting or standing and mobility. Requires bending and reaching. Requires transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires eye/hand coordination. Requires use of standard office equipment. Requires basic math. Ability to push and/or pull file cabinet drawers weighing up to 5 lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols. Ability to comply with Policies and Procedures, Job Description, daily memorandums, chemical labels (MSDS) and other instructions.
