Role & Responsibilities
Sr. Facilities Manager, San Francisco
The Sr. Facilities Manager, San Francisco will oversee day-to-day operations of headquarter facilities, shipping/receiving, life safety, mail, office cleanliness, space planning, meeting rooms/venue management, storage, and work tickets.
The Sr. Facilities Manager oversees operations at Airbnb’s Headquarters and focuses on delivering a functional, fun, productive, safe and creative work environment. Responsible for leading a team of employees and vendor accounts that provides high touch, high quality facilities and workplace services for approximately 3,000 occupants in a uniquely designed multi-building urban campus.
Role Responsibilities:
• Manage an inhouse Facilities team as well as vendors for facilities maintenance and improvements including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, utilities, kitchen equipment, and HVAC.
• Perform daily property inspections for assessment of overall condition.
• Manage all move operations and work closely on strategic space planning.
• Maintain regular communication with site business leaders, organizing input into actionable programs & goals, and setting clear expectations for project & service delivery.
• Achieve cost savings and support at/below budget, through maximizing utilization of suppliers and preferred vendors/contractors and by identifying efficiency opportunities.
• Working closely with the Real Estate & Construction team, collaborate on projects affecting employee environment, ensuring delivery consistent with creating the most loved place to work.
• Oversee Programs such as (but not limited to) Parking and Dog programs.
• Cross-functional partnerships with IT, Legal, Food, Finance, Real Estate, Ground Control, and Safety/Security.
• Manage and maintain SF facilities budget.
• Develop and maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors and vendor partners.
Requirements:
• 10+ years of related experience, with 7+ of those years as a manager responsible for maintenance of high class buildings/facilities
• 5+ years experience managing and developing a team
• Have a balanced mix of people, technical, analytical and operations skills
• Experience scaling operations
• Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively cross-functionally
• Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit a must
