OVERVIEW
The post production coordinator is an essential position that is needed to keep the post production department organized as we oversee thirty plus series across two networks, including scripted, unscripted and international co-productions.
The coordinator is the administrative backbone of the post production department.
This individual will be an integral member of the studio post production team, responsibilities include supporting VP and Directors of Post Production, tracking, storing and distributing post production materials and maintaining the deliverables handbook. Coordinator will liaise
with the post production teams of each show, to set them up during prep and to see them through final wrap out of their series. They will interface with other studio/network departments, such as Promos/Marketing, PR, Digital and Media management.
The coordinator will read and break down scripts during our bi-annual development cycles and help advise post production needs for new series.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Schedule meetings, set up conference calls and answer phones-general support for Directors and VP of Post Production.
• Maintains online viewing system of cuts and distro lists-PIX.
• Administrate inter-departmental systems to disseminate information and materials to PR, Digital, On Air Promos/Marketing, Media Management.
• Maintain delivery handbooks.
• Help track post production vendors for each series and security questionnaires for each series.
• File and archive all paperwork related to post production.
• Works with each post team on season wrap of deliverables and elements.
• Establishes Rapid Cue accounts (online music cue sheets) for each production.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
Supervises the day-to-day operations of the department, is directly involved with and exercises independent judgment with respect to the following:
• Maintaining PIX.
• Maintaining and updating delivery handbooks.
• Confirming and tracking post vendor agreements and tracking VFX vendors through security vetting.
• Filing various paperwork and archiving materials properly.
• Daily correspondence with VP and Directors, Post Production regarding series/episode information.
QUALIFICATIONS
Management Skills
• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects across all series
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize
• Self-motivated, proactive problem solving
Technical/Functional Competencies
• Proficiency in Excel
• Excels in organization and distribution of a wide-range of materials and assets
• Post production knowledge a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work across multiple series and projects in a high pressure and time sensitive environment
Key Experiences/Achievements
• Computer tech savvy
• Interest in working in post-production
• College degree required
