Position Summary:
This position is responsible for implementing the MTGA, Mohegan Sun, Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs and Management Advisory Services managed properties social media strategy, developing brand awareness, generating inbound traffic and encouraging property visitation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
• Implements the social media strategy and coordinates with stakeholders across the company to ensure it’s effectiveness
• Manages social media campaigns and day-to-day activities including content creation and distribution, monitoring, reputation management and sponsored campaigns
• Manages the presence in social media spaces, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Google+, etc.
• Manages outreach to social media influencers to amplify messaging in the social media space
• Utilizes SEO best practices
• Monitors effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, analyzes, reviews and reports on the effectiveness to maximize results
• Oversees the hiring, training, scheduling evaluating and counseling of the Social Media Marketing staff
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conducts competitive analysis
• Regularly shares useful insights gained from social media monitoring with other departments
• Monitors trends in social media tools, trends and applications
• Identifies and develops opportunities, connections and initiates conversations on behalf of Mohegan Sun
Competencies:Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
• Knowledge of web publishing languages such as PHP, HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript
• Basic understanding of the MTGA budget process
• Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements:
• Knowledge of corporate and department policies and procedures
• Must attend all appropriate Human Resources Manager Training classes
• Understanding of Ascent, EmpowerTime and Manager Self Service systems
• In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, their respective participants and best use of each channel
• Strong technical understanding of social, digital and mobile platforms and the ability to learn new applications
• Strong knowledge of the principles of Search Engine Optimization
• Administrator abilities related to social media content management applications and software
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
• Busy office work environment with deadlines and tight work schedules
• Must be reachable through company issued cell phone
• Overtime is common
• Work schedules are irregular and frequently interrupted in order to meet demands
• Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours

Requirements:
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ Degree in Marketing or a related field
• Three years of professional experience in Social Media Marketing, with large audience size experience demonstrated
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, six years of professional experience in Social Media Marketing may be considered
