Overview
Author Account Representative will work with assigned HCCP & Amacom authors to generate sales of products to respective authors to attain specified revenue goal provided from Senior Director of Sales Ministry Services
Responsibilities
• Sell assigned authors to attain revenue goals
• Serve authors via handling inbound calls, emails and making outbound calls to assigned author accounts
• Six months before release of book, call each assigned author to obtain their projected needs for book and timeframe of need and provide that forecast to apporpriate people on NYP books.
• Continually monitor author’s product needs of books that are already in print and keep forecast up-to-date in Inventory Planner to ensure product availability for author needs.
• Work with Customer Service & Warehouse to ensure on-time delivery of orders for authors for their speaking needs
• Serve as liason between publisher and author in communicating nessessary information for best sales opportunitiesActivate in-active author accounts either via custom product opportunity or reprint of their stock product
• Increase author sales via additional product offerings beyond each author’s own product
• Develop strong intercompany relationships that leverage opportunity to close and increase sales to account base
Qualifications
Knowledge
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills (Multi-tasking and prioritizing work flow)
• Understanding of Christian ministries/non-profits
• Understanding of basic Christian theology, as well as differences in fringe denomination/theological factions
Work Experience:
• 3-5 years sales or customer service experience with
• Product development
• Project management
Education:
• BA, BS or equivalent work experience
Industry Knowledge:
• Basic knowledge of publishing industry, including production/manufacturing process and industry best practices.
Skills:
