We are looking for an Associate Producer to join our New York City Integrated Production team.
The Associate Producer will serve under the executive producer, helping to produce and assist with the various projects and personnel that come together in creating radio, broadcast, and video content within MullenLowe. Per project or team needs, he/she will work under the supervision of various senior producers and executive producers to help streamline the production process as well as take on their own projects from inception to completion.
This position requires adept organizational skills, resourcefulness, and the ability to handle a multitude of tasks simultaneously in high-pressure situations. Candidates should possess substantial production experience across multiple platforms, including radio, social and, most important, broadcast.
You must understand the offline editing process, graphics, mixing, the finishing process, and all things related to line production.
A positive attitude, strong passion, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
Someone who is a team player and excited to learn is a must.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with creative teams from the earliest conceptual stage moving forward to ensure the most innovative creative and production are employed.
• Develop positive relationships with account teams, all production teams/vendors, and Business Affairs.
• Produce broadcast or video content projects per assignment.
• Produce radio spots and tagging projects per assignment.
• Develop and continuously maintain project timelines and budgets.
• Interact with clients when needed on all broadcast-related issues.
• Assist in sourcing and evaluating quality vendors to ensure that creative and production are supported by the best resources and the latest technological developments and techniques. Handle your own sourcing when assigned.
• Assist in bidding and negotiating with vendors for all aspects of TV production, editorial, post, and music production. Handle your own bidding when assigned.
• Collaborate with Business Affairs and the music supervisor on all financial, talent, and licensing matters.
• Understand and navigate successfully the cost consultant process.
• Provide clear communication of project status (milestones, financial performance, etc.) to internal teams and any third-party vendors.
• Able to work independently without supervision.
Requirements
• Exceptional organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Must have a proactive approach to responsibilities and creative problem solving.
• Strong focus on follow-through and ownership of deliverables per assignment.
• Self-motivated and willing to expand knowledge.
• Ability to work well independently but at the same time with the common sense to escalate when required.
• Understanding of broadcast and video production, best practices, and best-in-class partners.
• Familiarity with postproduction workflows and editing software is required.
• Experience with cost consultants is a bonus.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate in a courteous, tactful, and concise manner.
