The role:
The Finance Manager role, located in Hollywood, CA, will be a key financial player supporting the Technology organization at Ticketmaster. This person will be a key resource for the Finance team in addition to being a key Business Partner to the CTO and other Technology executives. Interaction will also include other members of the Ticketmaster and Live Nation Accounting, and HR teams. This role will include P&L and Capital spend analysis, budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, executive presentation preparation, and other ad hoc financial analyses.
What the job is:
• Functioning as a key finance contact for the Technology team at Ticketmaster
• Detailed budget management and periodic metric reporting
• Being a key partner to HR & Tech leaders for headcount matters, including tracking headcount resource allocations
• Identifying and explaining key drivers of variances to budget, forecasts, and prior years
• Working with Accounting, Procurement, and Accounts Payable to ensure expenses are recorded properly
• Managing one Sr. Analyst
• Assisting with the coordination of the annual budgeting process for the Tech organization, including the preparation of budget templates and executive presentation packages
• Managing the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing Journal Entries and monthly P&L to ensure accurate and complete recording of transactions
• Preparing monthly financial reporting packages for Tech leaders and meeting with them periodically to go over results
• Updating forecasts for major variances and/or changes in the business
• Preparing financial presentations as needed for audiences of all levels and functions (e.g. C-level executives, Finance, Technology, other Ticketmaster executives, etc.)
• Preparing ad hoc analyses as needed
What a qualified candidate should possess:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting (CPA is a plus)
• 5+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience
• Tech industry experience is a plus
• Experience preparing and reviewing Journal Entries
• Familiar with GAAP Capitalization rules
• Experience with Oracle and BPC is a plus
• Strong MS Excel skills and proficient in PowerPoint
• Ability to work effectively with and analyze large datasets
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication, and presentation preparation skills
• Ability to multitask, be organized, and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to deliver timely and accurate work
• Detail oriented
• Must be flexible with hours to accommodate workload fluctuations
• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude
• Ability to solve problems independently and make strong recommendations
• Ability to participate in a collaborative team environment
