Job Responsibilities:
• The Scrum Master is responsible for managing projects using scrum/agile methodologies.
• Translating business requirements the product owner in refining the product backlog.
• Guiding and coaching the scrum team on how to use agile/scrum practices to achieve sustained rapid development of customer facing applications.
• In conjunction with the product owner, coordinate feature delivery and production releases with a predisposition towards frequent delivery.
• Lead and organize all scrum activities including sprint planning, demos, retrospective and standups.
• Point of escalation to resolve impediments, issues and remove associated delays and distractions.
• Track sprint progress/burndown and strive to increase velocity and accuracy of sprint planning activities.
• Define and assess scrum team process with the goal being continuous improvement the scrum team process.
• Assisting with internal and external communication and improving transparency.
Job Requirements:
• College diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
• Second or third level scrum master certification (PSM II, PSM III, CSP with CSM or CTC).
• Experience in scrum master role for at least 3 years in software development team.
• Knowledge of web and mobile technologies.
• Experience with interfaces to third party developers and vendors.
• Experience using scrum/agile practices with multiple vendor integrations.
• Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines.
• Sitting for extended periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
• Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
