The Corporate Strategy & Incubation group (CSI) at Bose works on the Corporation’s most critical growth initiatives. The group’s activities include Corporate Strategy, Customer & Market Insights, M&A, Internal & External Ventures.
The Business Strategy Specialist role will support and play a key role in shaping the long-range strategy at Bose through various strategy projects including growth planning, competitive analysis, new market entry, and assessing M&A investment priorities. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic and innovative team, working in a fast-paced environment, leading transformative projects that will define the direction of Bose. Key to your success is your ability to marry creativity (seeing new questions, and imagining new answers) with analytic skills (digging deeply to create clarity from ambiguity). Primary Responsibilities:
• Support a wide range of strategy projects by owning assigned analyses and work streams, receiving a moderate level of direction
• Synthesize relevant data, and delivering actionable recommendations
• Support Business Leaders and Corporate Finance on planning processes such as long range planning, portfolio management, scenario planning, and the creation of critical assumptions to help prioritize investment decisions
• Support Corporate Strategy & Incubation in identifying and assessing new opportunity areas
• Collaborate with relevant functions and businesses in the execution of recommendations
• Work with Insights functions to ensure strategy recommendations are grounded in holistic understanding of the customer decision journey, market trends, and competitive landscape
• Partner with the Corporate Development team to create the investment thesis that support acquisitions and other strategic equity investments
• Stay abreast of industry, competitor, and consumer trends that can impact the business
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s in business, finance, marketing, economics or technical field. MBA or other advanced degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience at a management consulting firm or technology company preferred
• Excellent research skills with experience in market and company analysis
• Experience solving ambiguous problems and demonstrated ability to perform complex analyses
• Ability to build effective relationships across technical and business teams on a global scale
• Ability to learn new concepts, technologies, and businesses quickly, and to produce high-quality work in short time frames
• Strong presentation skills to effectively deliver complex, data-driven insights
• Possess economic and financial modelling skills
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel and data analysis
