The ESPN Finance Department is looking for a strong contributor to provide financial analysis and decision support services at the Financial Analyst level. This role will be responsible for the financial planning and analysis of the Affiliate Revenue stream for various Networks. This position reports directly to the Senior Manager, and works with various Leaders of the division and TWDC through the primary responsibilities listed below. This position is located in Bristol, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for Affiliate Revenue budget, forecasts, and monthly close for various ESPN networks.
• Creates and maintains financial models with a primary focus on identifying changes in trends in the distribution marketplace, and planning the resulting impact to affiliate revenue in the short and long term.
• Contribute to the development and preparation of presentation materials used to communicate the financial plan and associated risks and opportunities.
• Contributes to affiliate deal analysis.
• Works with leaders, finance management and peers on ad hoc projects as they arise.
Basic Qualifications
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to interact with senior executives, as well as all other levels of individuals within an organization
• Ability to flex and adapt work schedule to changing business demands and an diverse client group
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects often occurring simultaneously
• Collaborative team player with strong intellectual curiosity
• Experience in SAP or similar financial reporting tool preferred
• Minimum 1 year of industry experience preferred
• Strong corporate financial analysis and planning experience preferred
Required Education
• B.S. in Finance, Accounting, or Business equivalent
