Job Description
KVUE is seeking an experienced Account Executive for the automotive vertical. This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Sales and will focus on generating digital revenue for the station in the automotive category. This position will be responsible for identifying and developing new client partnerships as well as selling and servicing specific clients for Cars.com. A pioneer in online automotive classifieds, Cars.com has evolved into one of the largest digital automotive platforms, connecting thousands of local dealers across the country with millions of consumers. Through trusted expert content, on-the-lot mobile features and intelligence, millions of new and used vehicle listings, a comprehensive set of pricing and research tools, and the largest database of consumer reviews in the industry, Cars.com is transforming the car shopping experience.
As a member of our team, you should have a solid understanding of media trends, broadcast media, online advertising space, mobile, social media, SEO/SEM and audience targeting platforms. This person should also be a great listener, creative, driven and innovative with a passion to attain revenue goals.
Desired Skills & Experience
Job Responsibilities:
• Fully understand technologies that are foundational to the broadcast and digital advertising enterprise
• Remain current on industry trends in media, the digital space; e.g., mobile, display, video, SEM, email marketing as it pertains to automotive
• Directly responsible for closing sales and signing new business opportunities
• Develop, cultivate and maintain key direct client relationships
• Maintain customer satisfaction and accountability through a consultative approach
• Identify prospects and forecast revenue accurately
Meet and exceed aggressive revenue goals. Create and deliver high-impact sales presentations. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Key Skills & Abilities
• Experience in or knowledge of the automotive industry is a must
• Extensive knowledge of digital sales processes, digital platforms, technology trends, customer buying patterns and budgeting
• Knowledge of – or strong experience in local media advertising
• Ability to get past gatekeepers and generate relationships with decision makers
• Capable of developing and delivering compelling presentations
• Confident personality and strong sense of urgency
• Able to think strategically, act tactically and effectively drive revenue
