Position Overview
Responsible for researching, designing and validating workflows and features for Autodesk’s internal business products from product definition and planning stages through production, release, updates and end of life. Gathers requirements from users and translates those needs into feature specifications that optimize product usability, usefulness and user satisfaction. Works cross-functionally to evaluate, design, build, and test the product features requested by users.
Responsibilities
• Work with Product Manager to drive design process and establish best practices across all products in the Customer Success Practice organization
• Conduct user research to gather requirements: interviews, workflow analyses and contextual inquiry.
• Synthesize user findings and work closely with Product Management to transfer findings into effective feature set that meet both business requirements and user needs.
• Meet and collaborate with users and development partners to validate designs and make iterative improvements
• Visualizes and prototypes an intended solution, create alternatives to determine best option
• Create artifacts using text, diagrams, illustrations, and/or interactive prototypes to support communications of product implementation
Minimum Qualifications
• You have 2+ years of user research, user-centered design, or human interaction design experience
• Ability to develop interactive prototypes and documentation to aid evaluation and development of designs
• Strong communications skills: written, verbal and visual
• Ability to solve complex problems using HCD and drive projects from concept through implementation
• Adaptable, willing to wear many hats
• Proficient in latest design tools: Sketch, InVision and/or Adobe CC
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree, or equivalent work experience
