Position Overview
The Director of WW Channel Strategy will own the design, development, and ongoing management of Global Channel Strategy shaping Autodesk’s Channel Strategy and impact Business Model Transformation. The Director is responsible for leading a team to ensure strong design and execution of the quickly evolving business model with a specific focus on new channel initiatives, programs and models. You continually think about how the initiatives you design will support our cloud and subscription services transformation.
This is a leadership role leading a team of strategy/program/project specialists. The leader will work within Autodesk’s Worldwide Field Operations (WWFO) organization and in partnership with various other functional areas across the company, and will drive a range of channel programs such as VAR/Distributor Program, Channel Framework/Incentives, and Adoption and Services Programs to scale company priorities through channel.

Responsibilities
• Manage a team of strategy/program/project leads to develop and build alignment around long- and short-term channel strategy
• Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders on all aspects of program design
• Manage programs through all phases of the development cycle, from analysis and design through implementation and tracking
• Monitor and analyze partner performance to ensure the Autodesk channels continue to meet business objectives
• Develop new channels to meet the needs of the evolving customer profile and expanding product portfolio
• Develop and maintain Channel programs that consider and achieve field sales, business strategy and marketing, and product division objectives
• Drive cross-functional groups in designing, planning, implementing, and managing various channel programs
• Define project resource plans, including internal and contract resources, and work with appropriate resources to ensure business case development for technology projects
• Liaise with corporate divisions such as Finance, Operations, Sales Operations, WW Marketing, Legal, Global Services, and Subscription Platform Group to ensure channel programs comply to corporate standards and are able to be implemented and managed
• Effectively influence and communicate with stakeholders to drive global alignment of programs and ensure regional satisfaction with programs
• Manage global channel governance to ensure changes in the partner framework meet corporate objectives, partner requirements, and make strategic sense
Minimum Qualifications
• BA/BS degree, MBA preferred
• 10+ years channel strategy / channel programs experience
• Understanding of global markets and channel models
• Self-motivated, with proven track record of execution as a team member and team leader
• Solid organizational, time management and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions
• Have executive maturity and capable of dealing with ambiguity
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and interfacing with all stakeholders at all seniority levels
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to present to all position levels, from individual contributors to executives
• Detail-oriented, results-oriented, and pragmatic while also innovative and creative
• A team player who works well individually and with others, willing and able to handle critique
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working in a channel strategy environment and a strong understanding of indirect sales models
• Experience with channel program design: value-added reseller models, distribution models, affiliate programs, direct market resellers, e-tailers or volume channels a must
• Proven success driving complex, cross-functional projects
• Ability to translate big picture ideas into action
• Desire to shape strategy and drive company channel strategy through execution
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior executives
• Ability to build relationships across organizations and handle alternative viewpoints
• Adept at getting things done in a highly matrixed and ambiguous environment
• Effectively handle changing priorities and additional duties as assigned
