Job Description
The social team is the primary link between the Blue 449 team & the client’s social team. They maintain relationships with all social media clients from day to day to senior level. They oversee all paid social assignments across brand to ensure the work output accurately & effectively achieves media objectives. Internally, they serve as the voice of the social client and are accountable for all aspects of the delivery of social related work to the client.
The Media Supervisor will work on multiple projects and report to the Associate Media Director while managing a team of planners. This position is responsible for the development and execution of impactful paid social media strategies that are in line with client’s goals. This person will also work closely with internal digital/traditional media teams to manage client communications, expectations and deliverables. Media Competencies
• Guide and drive paid social strategies for T-Mobile: define objectives, continually evaluate, and employ best-in-class technology to deliver optimized performance for clients
• Supervise, direct and review the development and implementation of specified media plans
• Provide and/or guide strategic input for all plans internally and externally
• Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review the writing of media documents (timelines, POVs, RFPs, plans, agreements, client memos, and correspondence from within and outside the agency)
• Understand and actively seek online media solutions to assist clients in achieving specific goals and objectives
• Troubleshoot ad delivery and ad performance
• Manage the scheduling, posting, and tracking of advertising, and compile regular performance reports
• Be available as needed to ensure all Facebook and Twitter posts are promoted as scheduled including weekends
Relationship Development
• Build, maintain and grow client relationships and client business
• Lead regular media meetings with clients and provide insightful learnings into weekly online media results
• Lead client presentations
• Ensure key information is provided to team in a timely manner including any client issues, internal agency issues, vendor issues, etc.
• Build and maintain relationships with media publishers and internal agency counterparts
• Staying apprised of new and emerging technology, creative and programming applications for potential use for clients
Financial Competencies
• Develop and maintain media plans and monitor all approvals and client budgets
• Work closely with media director to manage account profitability
• Manage all campaign financials and forecasting process
• Review site invoices and work with Accounting and Account Services to ensure accurate payment and prepare campaign reconciliations
• Accurate and timely reporting of billable and non-billable time
Leadership & Management Competencies
• Motivate, develop, train and help to evaluate team members
• Demonstrate problem solving skills
• Management of junior team members as needed to educate and motivate
• Assist in developing Blue 449 media team members into highly respected and trusted team members by helping to grow their skill-sets and thought-processes
• Knowledge-sharing with all team members
Qualifications
• A minimum of 4 years of online media planning and negotiating experience in an interactive agency, including experience managing a team
• Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, marketing or related program
• A complete knowledge of interactive marketing concepts and practices as well as a familiarity with offline media concepts
• Strong mathematic and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Experience with self serve social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat etc)
• Experience with implementation of pixel tracking for social platforms
• Experience with third party verification platforms (IAS/DoubleVerify etc)

• Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
• The ability to multi-task on numerous accounts, often with minimum direction
• The ability to work well with a team; function as a leader, and also work independently
