Associate Content Specialists are responsible for the delivery of tailored pre-sales presentations to customers in collaboration with sales and Getting Started training sessions during the Back to School season.
Associate Content Specialists are responsible for learning
1) sales presentations,
2) Getting Started training presentations, and
3) subject matter expertise for a suite of HMH products and services.
**This position can be based in either the Geneva or Evanston, IL office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• To deliver pre-sales webinars tailored to customer and sales needs for small and mid-sized accounts.
• To deliver pre-sales customer presentations tailored to customer and sales needs for small and mid-sized accounts.
• To deliver Getting Started trainings tailored to customer and sales needs.
• To customize the sales message with awareness of customer needs, campaign issues, and competitive knowledge in collaboration with a CSG manager or director.
• To learn two or more, subject area suites of programs plus services (i.e. math and science) as requested.
• To learn Getting Started trainings as requested.
• To complete SFDC forms, evaluations, and reports as required.
• To demonstrate understanding of assigned disciplines including core and supplemental products as well as technology associated with such products.
• To work with Account Executives, CSG managers, and Service managers to understand client needs and transfer this knowledge to pre-sales, sales, and post-sales presentations.
• To appropriately adjust presentations to the needs and responses of the audience.
• To handle customer questions and overcomes objections.
• To demonstrate product knowledge to position products in a way that reflects product strengths while aligning with market issues, curriculum trends, and customer needs.
• To utilize knowledge of competitors’ products to enhance product positioning.
• To communicate information regarding customer needs to the Account Executive and manager in order to capitalize on sales opportunities and position product effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education, Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Five years of K-12 teaching experience in ESL.
• Previous experience presenting to large and small groups.
• Digital literacy required.
• MS Office Suite; proficiency with Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
• Experience using WebEx or similar virtual meeting tool.
• Valid driver's license and clear driving record.
Preferred Education, Experience and Abilities:
• Graduate degree preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly effective presentations skills.
• Strong collaboration skills.
• Highly organized and able to transfer strategies into actions that deliver results.
Travel:
• Ability to work irregular hours and travel up to 30%.
Physical Requirements:
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
