Cell Press is looking for a Product Manager to support its expansion beyond the life sciences. This person will own the development of key product features on the Cell.com roadmap and work within an engaging, multi-faceted team to ensure successful delivery, including achieving overall revenue goals for products. The person will apply a customer-centric, data-driven approach to product development, with a focus on supporting strategic company initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be able to form strong working relationships with internal and external partners, will communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, and will take an innovative, creative approach to problem-solving. The candidate will work closely with colleagues in our editorial, marketing, sales, operations, and management teams, as well as other divisions in Elsevier and external partners, to champion and successfully deliver the features or products for which he or she is responsible.
This is a full-time in-house position, based at the Cell Press headquarters in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Cell Press offers an attractive salary and benefits package and a stimulating working environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interact with customers to define requirements and understand key customer needs and market basics.
• Understand and utilize the drivers for improving the customer experience.
• Autonomously use web analytics and other insights to analyze situations and inform decision-making.
• Execute on go-to-market launch plans for key areas of product responsibility
• Meaningfully contribute to the development and execution of the overall product strategy.
• Understand the company technology stack at a high level, as it pertains to relevant feature areas.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING
• Bachelors or Masters degree in business, technology, media/communications, or science/medicine.
• 2-4 years relevant professional experience.
• A demonstrated comfort level working with various technologies, including XML, web CMS, HTML, CSS, Excel, Tableau, and more.
• Basic knowledge of web-development platforms, databases, and infrastructure.
• Strong analytics approach and experience making data-driven decisions.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with others to modify or maintain a product and identify technology challenges.
• Prior successful experiences running projects which involve both business objectives and technical implementation work.
