Job Summary
CAA is seeking a Recruiter to join CAA’s Human Resources Team in the Los Angeles office. The Recruiter will be accountable for partnering with business leaders to source, select and hire talent for critical roles in the organization, particularly focused on roles in the Motion Picture and Television divisions. This role will be responsible for generating a pipeline of diverse internal and external talent, conveying to top candidates the benefits of working at CAA, managing the complete employee recruiting cycle, and using data and analytics to continually improve the quality of candidates selected and optimize recruiting experience. This role will report to the Regional Lead of Human Resources and maintain key relationships with the agents and department heads in the divisions and of other business groups supported.
Responsibilities
• Manage the full life-cycle recruiting process. This includes proactively sourcing, screening, interviewing, creating and extending offers, and partnering with hiring managers throughout the selection process
• Partner with business agents to understand their needs and the skills/behaviors required to meet these needs
• Deliver a high level of customer service to business teams while serving as a thought partner and subject matter expert on talent to bring into the organization
• Work with HR Business Partners to understand internal talent available to fill openings
• Proactively identify and meet with top talent in the market to maintain a strong candidate pool
• Design, implement and execute robust, innovative, recruiting strategies to attract and hire top talent from diverse sources
• Utilize data and analytics to continually improve the quality of candidates selected and to optimize the recruiting experience
• Aid in providing a positive candidate experience, ensuring each candidate receives timely communication
• Attend recruiting events to connect with talent and promote our brand especially in the area of early entry development
• Partner with HR Business Partners in consulting with hiring managers on best practices as it relates to creating job descriptions, interview training, attrition and internal mobility
• Conducting informational interviews for employee referrals
• Continually identify future talent and hire into the Mailroom program as a pipeline mechanism
• Mentor Recruitment Coordinator and provide clear direction to an Assistant
• Oversight of reference checking and background checks
• Collaborate with Recruitment Team and Diversity partners on best practices
• Collaborate with members of the HR team on key initiatives and departmental projects
• On special occasion, assist in searches for CAA’s clientele
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 7+ years of work experience in full-life cycle recruiting. Entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
• Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships across levels and functions
• ATS experience required. Experience with Workday systems a plus.
• Extremely flexible, proactive, highly organized, and ability to shift priorities, multi-task, and handle heavy workflow processing
• Demonstrated ability to work with and influence senior leadership teams
• Consultative and collaborative
• Ability to balance strategic thinking about recruiting plans and sources with tactical execution
• Ability to comprehend our complex business to assess staffing needs and develop effective recruiting strategies
• Ability to build strong business partnerships and influence hiring managers
