Narrative Film & TV interns will collaborate creatively with our narrative feature & television department. In an effort to reach and entertain broader audiences while still highlighting important social issues, the narrative department develops films across all genres, including comedies, dramas, action, family films, and even horror, along with the character-driven films that we are known for, such as THE HELP, THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOD HOTEL and GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK. Participant Media has also expanded its business into television with its first scripted show, CENTRAL PARK 5, debuting on Netflix in 2019.
Responsibilities
◦ Work closely with the narrative staff, interns will actively aid the development process by conducting issue-based research, reviewing submitted material, and completing comprehensive script coverage.
◦ Perform typical tasks of entertainment assistants and will communicate directly and often with our executives, giving them a chance to improve their creative development skills and gain industry knowledge from seasoned professionals.
◦ Collaborate with other interns on special projects and presentations and have access to “Brown Bag” speaker series where they can hear from other departments within the company, such as social action, marketing, and finance.
◦ Other duties/special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
◦ Must be comfortable with handling phones, as well as occasional scheduling and professional office correspondence for department executives.
◦ Previous experience with script coverage a plus. If you have previous coverage, please submit a copy with your resume and cover letter.
