Overview
HarperCollins Christian Publishing is looking for a motivated professional to collaborate on a new corporate initiative on Search Engine Optimization. This person will assist the SEO Manager in educating large groups with different backgrounds, tracking research and supporting the execution of SEO/SEM strategies.
Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
• Assists in the development of keyword strategies at the company, vertical and product level
• Maintain dashboards and run meaningful reporting for SEO effectiveness
• Analyze SEO trends and reporting as requested by SEO manager
• Execute pre-established SEO practices and guidelines
• Recommends technical changes to enhance SEO via changes in web structure, content, links, backlinks, etc.
• Help teams to improve content optimization
• Ongoing education in the SEO space and staying abreast of innovations and trends in SEO
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Knowledge:
• Solid understanding of keyword research/Google adwords.
• Solid understanding about reporting & dashboards to successfully communicate the effectiveness of strategic SEO efforts (Brightedge/GoogleAnalytics)
Work Experience:
• Preferred candidate will possess 1+ years of SEO development and SEM development (PPC marketing experience).
• Demonstrate basic skills in performance marketing, conversion and online customer acquisition.
• Marketing experience that has included integrated and/or digital marketing and publicity-related responsibilities.
• Proven success in driving website traffic increases.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, e-commerce, or a related field
Industry Knowledge:
Knowledge of HCCP family of authors is recommended. Publishing industry is not necessary.
Skills:
• Knowledge of, or the ability to learn, HTML, CSS, and programming language.
• Google Adwords certified.
• Powerpoint and presentation skills.
