OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope)
As a Media Analystyou will play an integral part of a larger, best-in-class, cross-functional team. You will support your broader marketing team as well as the media team dedicated to delivering on point marketing and media strategies and plans that cultivate and grow existing and new audiences for all AMC shows.
The ideal candidate will be a clear, confident communicator with marketing and/or advertising experience on the agency or brand side. As such, this person will possess a demonstrated analytic mind-set with a passion for creativity and thinking beyond the borders of what has been done before. This position requires an analyst who can combine analytic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and apply cutting-edge data integration and analysis tools. This role reports to the VP of Media and maintains a close and highly responsive relationship with the VP, CRM and Data, research teams, data/BI teams, broader marketing teams, as well as media agencies and show partners.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Media Analytics
• Own reporting and analysis for all media metrics including owned/earned media, report performance and insights up to executive level team on an ongoing basis
• As part of the team, responsible for contributing to strategy development and evaluation of media investment plans based on data insights
• Aid in forecasting performance for multi-channel marketing campaigns/setting goals and planning to those goals
• Work with complex data structure, manipulate, and perform statistical analysis
• Work with BI teams to develop Data Attribution and Data Visualization
• Familiarity with digital marketing concepts and toolset like a DMPs, segment building, and audience driven marketing
• Work with research team to apply learnings and insights to audience and media performance
• Ability to set up test and learn objectives and campaign structures
• Experience working with data across all media channels
• Educate and socialize the importance of data and analytics within the organization
Ad Operations
• Tracking/reporting campaign delivery & identification of insights and actions
• Work with agency to monitor live campaigns and report throughout
• Ensure proper tracking and tagging is set up for each campaign
QUALIFICATIONS(Required & Preferred)
• Strong analytical skills are required, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications. The ability to creatively solve data issues as they arise is important
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their native analytics capabilities (e.g. Facebook Insights, Youtube Analytics, etc.). Experience with social listening tools a plus
• Experience with data visualizations tools such as DOMO, Tableau, etc. or other data analysis programs
• Experience with third party ad serving platforms and web analytics, third-party validation (DoubleVerify), conversion data (DCM) and attribution solutions (Visual IQ, Adometry)
• Knowledge of custom qualitative digital measurement vendors preferred (Milward Brown, Research Now, Nielsen DAR/TAR)
• Expert Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, complex formulas to manipulate large data sets, macros/advanced functions)
• Very strong organization & coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey and package technical findings in layman’s terms
• 3+ years performing analysis within an agency setting or a similar role
• Solid project management skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with track record of academic excellence
