Purpose of the Role:
Overall, the Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from concept to delivery on time and on budget, using best-in-class project management skills to facilitate the project team to create world class deliverables.
Job Responsibilities:
• Utilize best practices for project management from concept to delivery, preparing it for ongoing sustainability
• Identify, define and support project requirements with the assistance of the Program Manager
• Drive the development and manage the execution of high-quality deliverables that are customer-centric and make a measureable impact to the business
• Coordinate meetings by scheduling, preparing agendas/supporting documentation, keeping meeting minutes, and creating summaries
• Interact cross-functionally and maintain relationships with business owners and subject matter experts to ensure team members can meet their deliverables
• Accurately interpret and articulate requirements of an initiative to project team members
• Manage change when a direction change is required of a project
• Propose and follow through on new and innovative ways to manage projects
• Develop project plans and align appropriate resources during the concept and planning phases
• Provide regular status updates to the Program Manager and Director of Operational Excellence, including updates on project achievement, risk identification, risk mitigation and current activities
• Collaborate with Program Manager and other leaders to continually increase efficiency of projects
• Research, collect, evaluate and refine data necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements
• Develop and maintain the project management templates and project artifacts
• Review project deliverables, as appropriate
• Drafting, proofreading and editing materials, as needed
• Conduct transition services such as facilitating lessons learned sessions and creating a lessons learned document with actions to further improve project management and process effectiveness
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related degree; Advanced degree preferred
• 3 years of experience in a Project Management capacity
• 3 years of experience in a sales or sales support role
• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing solid program/project management processes
• Proven leadership skills with a collaborative management style that will facilitate interaction with executives, colleagues, customers and corporate partners
• PMP certification or similar certification preferred
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Effective presentation and meeting skills
• MS Office skills, especially MS Project
