Purpose of the Role:
The Sales & Services Enablement Design and Delivery Specialist is responsible for developing design plans for programs and services and pedagogic learning opportunities via eLearning and delivery of face to face training. These multi-level curriculum designs focus on providing the global sales team with knowledge and strategies to move sales opportunities forward and drive revenue. Each curriculum involves rigorous certification, as appropriate, and results in increased knowledge, expertise, and performance among the sales organization. The immediate focus of the Design and Delivery Specialist role is to deliver on Sales Enablement’s vision of individualized learning plans for Sales.
Job Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, development and delivery of content learning, for multiple sales audiences, to drive revenue for program and services opportunities.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and internal Sales & Services Enablement colleagues in the development of training that will ensure that all field personnel are knowledgeable about current and future products and services.
• Function in a rapid prototype model to drive the development and delivery of high-quality deliverables (eLearning, VILT, ILT, podcasts, sales tools, job aids, etc.) that are sales and customer-centric and make a measureable impact on the business.
• Partner with other Sales & Services Enablement team members in design meetings focusing on new programs and services.
• Capture all content discussed during design meetings and ensure that information is organized and provided to all Sales & Services Enablement team members to execute on end deliverables.
• Create corresponding materials to support curriculum development (study guides, learning activities, assessments, etc.)
• Ensure that the content generated by marketing and product management and strategy is delivered in a way that is relevant to the field and aligned with their customer conversations.
• Collaborate with internal Sales & Services Enablement team members to analyze focus areas, target audience, define learning objectives and identify content for multiple levels of integrated curriculum.
• Interact cross-functionally and maintain relationships with business owners and SMEs to ensure team members can meet their deliverables.
• Manage change when a direction change is required of a project.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Demonstrated experience and results in building and operationalizing processes
• Strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of training measurement and evaluation
• Strong project management, project planning, communication skills, and time management skills
• Demonstrated experience consulting with stakeholders to positively impact results through recommended learning solutions
• Strong listener who effectively probes for understanding using a diagnostic approach
• Ability to thrive in a high pace, dynamic and growing business
• Ability to work successfully with ambiguity
• Self-starter
• Strong interpersonal, consultative, and communication skills
• Understanding of educational pedagogy, content and HMH and partner products and services
• Ability to quickly and effectively learn products and programs
• Ability to navigate various cross functional groups in HMH to ensure collaboration and support of Subject Matter Experts
• Understanding of the HMH solution sales environment and value propositions
• Knowledge of and experience in designing and delivering high quality sales training
• Understanding of adult learning theory and methodologies to drive high levels of efficacy
• Ability to collaborate within and across functional areas
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities and manage time to complete projects within specified timeframes
• Ability to work with multiple instructional designers and be flexible to their development processes
• Ability to provide valuable and insightful feedback while not being critical
• Able to be flexible with projects and nimble to change
• Ability to travel as needed (35%)
• Superior communication (verbal and written) skills
