Overview
Audio Sales currently seeks an Audio Coordinator to provide contract review and distracts, manage editorial approach to the audiobook adaptation, and collaborate with audio marketing for those certain needs that help support the growth of the audiobook program. In this role, you will have the opportunity to review, prepare and provide material for recording the audiobook working with all departments within the HarperCollins Christian Publishing offices including but not limited to trade, children, academic/study, and Spanish’s divisions, providing a great overview of the interaction of sales with the overall book and audiobook publishing businesses.
Responsibilities
• Manage the assessment of all manuscripts accepted to the audio program to determine need for adjustments for recording purposes and/or the need for the creation of an accompanying visual aid
• Works with Pub Group Editors and Design to create any needed visual aids
• Develop and prepare bonus material for recording
• Review audiobook descriptive copy for all audiobooks, suggest and collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to make adjustments necessary for the format
• Review and digest all book contracts intended for audio and input relevant contractual information into databases
• Input data, submit and track the Creative Guideline Forms for all audiobook production
• Provide direction to Design for cover adaptations for the audio format
• Collect season title lists with necessary details for use by Publishers, Production, Sales and Licensing
• Assist with monitoring the audiobook production schedule for program’s title list
• Assist in maintaining the integrity of product metadata
• Assist with coordination efforts for the delivery of metadata and assets to third parties as needed
• Support marketing team with executing social media plans inclusive of responding to queries
• Update and track format based email marketing lists and social communities for audio
• Build and promote various web landing pages as related to audio (ie Enhanced Material pages, etc)
• Assist with scheduling of content, metadata builds and track visibility for Innovation Campaigns (ie Alexa, etc.)
• Collaborate with marketing team with editorial needs and submissions of audiobooks for review, as necessary
• Edit audio clips as necessary for marketing purposes
• Support the maintenance the Audio Sample Clip Library
• Coordinate with sales teams to assist with providing relevant marketing material for specific accounts
• Must be able to perform all responsibilities listed for both Spanish and English language content
• Any other duties as necessary
Qualifications
Industry Knowledge:Understanding and awareness of general marketplace and publishing and/or audiobook industry, and IP Contracts
Work Experience:
Minimum of two years experience in publishing industry with exposure to contracts and editorial responsibilities highly desired.
Education:
Four year college degree preferred
Skills:
• Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, Photoshop, and social media platforms
• Experience with file sharing and team collaboration systems Creative thinker who identifies themselves as a problem solver

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with various personalities
