Description
A non-profit, located in Midtown East, seeks a full-time Assistant to the Executive Director for immediate hire. This person will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director to facilitate effective and efficient operations and communication.
The ideal candidate will responsible for answering phones, email correspondence, maintaining membership database and email contact lists, designing email newsletter, brochures, invitations, and other communication materials, updating the website, receiving and processing orders and donations, maintaining and ordering office supplies, responding to or relaying member questions, and assisting the Director with a wide array of tasks as they arise.
Job requirements:
• Ability to develop a positive, team-oriented work relationship with staff, volunteers, board members and committee chairs.
• Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
• Highly proficient with computers and standard office technology (copier, printer, scanner, telephone, fax, etc.).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Access, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Event planning experience.
• Understanding of basic web standards and ability to update site in WordPress.
• Knowledge of WordPress and MailChimp (preferred).
• Familiarity with PayPal (preferred).
• Basic design and graphics skills (preferred). Knowledge of layout software, ideally Photoshop.
