Position Overview
Initiates, manages and/or expands customer accounts of custom manufacturing and/or recycling services by identifying and articulating customer needs, developing business models and cost quotes, executing sales negotiations, driving customer satisfaction, and fostering successful business relationships.
Responsibilities
• Develops appropriate business model for each engagement, and oversees the implementation of front end business processes uniquely necessary to execute each model.
• Works with internal functional groups to ensure the optimal customer solution is defined and developed.
• Clearly defines, communicates, and aligns external customer requirements and project scope with internal cross functional teams. Coordinates and/or works with inter-divisional teams for the development and execution of customer projects.
• Develops and negotiates agreements terms and conditions with customers.
• Reports customer account activity and recommends business expansion strategy to management.
• Researches and prepares price quotations and cost estimates. Manages customer reporting, orders, pricing and invoicing.
• Maintains and strengthens customer relationships by monitoring performance to customer requirements/expectations and coordinates necessary actions for improvements.
• Monitors and ensures compliance with customer contracts and manages project scope.
• Maintains and/or is actively involved with account sales budget (forecasting, executing, analyzing, and reporting).
• Ensures maximum profit and revenue growth for business by working with team members to support account management activities.
• Understands customer’s business strategies, future plans, and needs to develop and initiate tailored solutions for increased value added, business expansion, and increased profitability.
• Develops and manages account metrics for both internal and external management.
• Creates and delivers sales presentations and formal customer program reviews.
• Supports external marketing initiatives by representing the company at Trade Shows and other various events.
• Supports development of new business strategies by conducting market research, developing business infrastructure, and determining feasibility of project.
• Initiates ways to expand business by researching/evaluating market need.
• Supports and works with internal functional groups to ensure compliance of customer, business and/or other regulatory requirements (i.e. - R2, ISO, FDA, etc.).
• Generates sales of injection mold tooling servicing multiple industries.
• May generate sales leads to develop and grow new businesses.
• May be required to travel.
• May be assigned additional duties and/or special projects.
Qualifications
• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 2-8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in business management/planning, account management, business development, sales, procurement, cost analysis, or operations management.
• Experience with injection mold tooling and injection molding preferred.
• Ability to lead teams.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations.
• May have to work overtime and may be assigned to other shifts based on company needs.
