Position Summary:
The Retailer Recruitment Specialist serves as the central point of contact for prospective retailers with respect to becoming licensed by the Lottery to sell lottery products. This position will work closely with the Lottery Sales team to develop strategy and executive plans to meet defined retailer network objectives. This position will work in tandem with the Marketing Sales Reps for territorial support.
Job Functions:
• The ability to create retailer recruitment documentation, including the writing of recruitment materials that highlight the features and benefits of becoming a lottery retailer.
• Using the GeoProspect Plus analysis to identify potential retailers for recruitment and participation in SalesEnlist seminars, as well as prioritizing retailers based on forecasted sales within the analysis
• Tracking retailer recruitment results to determine conversion rate from prospect to Lottery retailers, as well as barriers encountered during the recruitment process
• Work in conjunction with the Marketing Sales Reps to support retailer initiatives, as needed
• Work with other departments in support of site sales and support goals
• Travel to lottery locations and corporate locations on an as needed basis
• Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements/Qualifications:
• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in the marketing arena
• Intermediate computer software and hardware technologies
Skills/Abilities:
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• Ability to recruit new retailers within the Lottery environment
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
• Strong time management skills
• Ability to develop and maintain a positive working relationship
• Ability to travel 100% of the time within the State of Maryland using their own vehicle
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products, including, but not limited to, ACCESS, Excel, PowerPoint
• Ability to lift 30 lbs
• Ability to operate office equipment, but not limited to, personal computer and telephone
• Ability to sit, stand, bend, stretch at a minimum of 50% of the time for any or all of the movements described
