The Project Manager, FTTH is responsible for the management and delivery of all project construction and engineering activities related to the completion of a multi-year fiber network build out. This position will work closely with the customer, our dispersed field organization, all internal departments and our external vendors to ensure a smooth and efficient delivery of all project related activities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated proficiency in managing complex projects across a broad geographic areas. The right candidate will have a proven ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. The Project Manager will be expected to drive efficiencies, develop strategic plans, and manage the budget, schedule, and contractual compliance components of this project.
Articulate and drive strategic objectives and successful delivery of project expectations. Aggregate, organize and communicate all relevant project data to stake holders to keep the organization informed of project status. Anticipate and effectively communicate issues and obstacles to stakeholders in the interest of quick resolution. Act as the project driver, challenging the status quo, in the interest of driving project efficiencies. Encourage open collaboration and information sharing between all stakeholders involved in or impacted by the project. Establish and disseminate plans, budgets, metrics and key performance indicators to all stakeholders. Allocate all resources effectively for successful project delivery. Maintain the highest levels of quality in every aspect of delivery and support quality assurance process management as a driver for continuous improvement. Serve as the central point of contact for all communications related to the project. Utilize time management to balance support of all functional areas of the project. Ensure that processes are defined and followed for every activity identified in the project.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Project Management or related Engineering discipline preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in construction.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong capabilities in analysis and problem solving.
• A proven strong team motivator and driver of activity.
• Demonstrated ability to manage staff and a strong understanding of the entire corporate utility infrastructure functions from planning to delivery.
• Certifications in Project or Program Management (i.e. PMP) and experience utilizing this approach to project execution is preferred.
• Strong project software skills
• Understanding drawings, permits and specifications relevant to the fiber, cellular, and/or cable industry.
