The job:
Time seeks a Senior Editor who can help lead and manage our newsroom. The editor will be excellent at assigning, editing and overseeing the publication of features for TIME across digital and print, produced by TIME reporters as well as outside contributors. The editor will have exceptional judgment. The editor will be a savvy digital strategist, comfortable with analytics, enthusiastic about growing TIME’s audience and knowledgeable about best publishing practices across platforms. The editor should be at ease working with reporters and writers who cover a variety of subject areas.
You have:
• 5+ years of newsroom experience with a proven track record of mentoring, talent spotting and leadership
• An ability to make smart decisions about opinion coverage and strategize for vertical coverage as well
• The ability to work in a highly collaborative newsroom, often under intense time pressure
