Description
The Analyst, Digital Insights is responsible for using research data to align Scripps' digital content, marketing and sales strategy. This role is also responsible for providing insightful and actionable analysis of internal and external metrics.
Key activities
• Assist in the development and execution of data-driven and consumer focused research
• Assist with consumer research (both formal and informal) to ensure initiatives are grounded in consumer understanding
• Understand, manage, and work hands-on with digital metrics for the digital team including, user registration databases, Google Analytics and email clients, Chartbeat (real-time content analytics suite), Urban Airship (mobile push notifications and app download analytics), Optimizely (testing platform), Tableau (dashboards and data visualizations)
• Coordinate and communicate measurement of audience for the digital team
• Assist in secondary research activities such as focus groups, panels etc.
• Collaborate and train with Scripps corporate customer insights team
• Work with digital content team to setup custom dashboards and train reporters on using data to asses success of content
• Identify content trends and best practices through testing and regular data analysis
• Assess conversion path for opportunities and improvements
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, or related field
• 2 years experience
Skills & Abilities
• Must have the ability to prioritize growth opportunities based on ROI
• Must have mastery of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)
• Must have exceptional organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Must have exceptional communication and presentation skills
