Financial Analyst - WW Credit & Collections
Overview and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for various cash application and billing functions within the WW Credit & Collections group at Paramount Pictures.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
• Interpret and analyze daily domestic/Canada bank statement/lockbox information for TV, Home Media, Studios, Non-Theatrical Receipts
• Prepare internal cash log based on daily bank statement/lockbox information
• Reconcile cash log maintained to daily bank statement/lockbox information
• Act as point person for questions/research from various internal groups regarding daily domestic/Canada banking receipt information
• Determine cash applications for input into various billing systems based on banking information vs. billing system customer aging reports
• Ensure all cash receipts are applied/posted to customer's accounts on a timely basis
• Prepare journal entries as they relate to cash applications on a timely basis
• Gather data, reports, invoices and back-up for ad hoc audit requests from various groups/weekly VAT reporting requirements
• Assist various internal groups with invoicing/billing system inquiries/requests
• Prepare invoices with special requirements prior to sending to customers
• Daily interaction/cooperation with various internal groups to expedite the cash application process
• Handle any additional ad hoc requests as necessary
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 3 years related work experience
Additional Qualifications
Desired skills/experience
• Proficient in Excel and Word
• SAP experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills
• Experience in Entertainment Industry
• Self-motivated, self starter
• Must be detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks
• Must be able to work reasonable overtime at month end closes when necessary
