Endeavor Global Marketing is seeking anAccount Directorthat will be lead a dedicated team responsible for the day-to-day servicing of a client’s global football (soccer) sponsorship portfolio. The position will be based in San Francisco, CA, and will report to a Sr. Vice President.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the strategy, planning, coordination and execution of client’s global sponsorship initiatives, contractual sponsorship fulfillment and asset management across all FIFA competitions (incl. FIFA World Cup, Confederations Cup and Women’s World Cup)
• Manage a global agency team dedicated to the client
• Interact with and provide day-to-day communication to client, its stakeholders, properties (FIFA, LOCs, clubs, etc), talent agents, partner agencies, internal Endeavor divisions, vendors and any other relevant parties involved in the exploitation of the global sponsorship
• Provide strategic and conceptual counsel to client to achieve optimization of the football sponsorship and talent portfolio against set objectives and criteria
• Work with client business units to help achieve sales sponsorship marketing objectives, as appropriate
• Assist with global sponsorship sell-in and integration of client’s B2B partners (pass-through)
• Provide relevant research and insights to support, drive and measure client’s business decisions and results
• Evaluate sponsorship opportunities and help prepare sponsorship business plan and POVs
• Oversee client’s global talent endorsements and agency’s responsibilities across procurement, relationship management and appearances
• Manage new strategic, innovative and/or creative projects proactively and/or upon assignment by client
• Oversee activation programming with other client agency partners (advertising, media, PR, etc.) throughout marketing campaign development and activation
• Supervise the client’s global creative material’s approvals process
• Direct and coordinate on-site event teams to support sponsorship implementation at all events where agency staff is needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree
• A minimum of 7-9 years of agency or client-based sponsorship account or property management experience in the sports and entertainment industries
• International football property experience required (e.g. FIFA, confederations, federations, clubs)
• A minimum of 4 years of team management experience
• Prior experience managing day-to-day relationships with client, properties, agencies and vendors
• Participation in sponsorship or talent contract negotiations
• Practical experience with on-site event marketing operations and/or logistics
• Ability to think strategically and creatively
• Excellent Presentation Skills and ability to command a meeting with senior level presence
• Ability to problem-solve independently and in groups
• Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills
• Enthusiastic and driven team leader with proactive, engaging and can-do approach
• Ability to travel 20% of the time
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
