A little bit about our team:
The Sync department represents both recorded music and music publishing rights and offers clients a comprehensive licensing service. They work to serve recording artists and songwriters by strategically developing new opportunities in film, TV, advertising, video games, and new media, and also by collaborating with the company's frontline recorded music labels.
Why this could be your next big break:
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, detail orientated, team-player, and results-driven individual for the full-time position of Coordinator, Licensing Administration, based in Los Angeles. Under direct supervision with some latitude for independent judgement and decision, this individual will be responsible for the preparation of synch licenses for the use of Warner/Chappell Music songs as well as Warner Music Group master recordings in all media, collection of license fees, as well as heavy client interaction. This is a fun and challenging position in a fast-pace environment.
Here you’ll get to:
• License and invoice for all synch areas for the use of Warner/Chappell Music songs as well as Warner Music Group master recordings.
• Analyze, review and resolve revision requests with clients.
• Manage all aspects of contract administration for the foregoing licenses, including tracking outstanding licenses, and tracking the receipt of license fees, royalties and other payments from clients.
• Monitor and pursue license fee collections.
• Process license fee payments; reconcile payment log with monthly reports
• Maintain synch licensing database.
• Collect cue sheets.
• Maintain licensing database.
• Assist in other areas of Licensing department as needed.
• Process and log all incoming payments; reconcile payment log with monthly reports.
Rockstar candidates will have/be able to:
• A high school level education, or its equivalent, is required.
• Handle and safeguard confidential and proprietary information.
• Read and understand materials and documents and have the ability to recognize and extract critical data and information.
• High level of professional communication etiquette both internally and/or externally (written and verbal), with the ability to effectively interact with clients to finalize licenses and collection of fees.
• Effectively communicate internally and/or externally in a manner consistent with the company’s Code of Conduct and core values.
• Ability to efficiently, accurately and promptly resolve license issues.
• Be a Self-starter and self-motivated with the ability to handle high volume of licenses with accurate execution.
• Ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments while producing quality work and being accountable.
• Strong organization skills, high attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time.
• Work at and utilize all necessary functions of a computer in order to complete all essential duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Possess a strong work ethic.

• General computer skills and full proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphases in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of general business practices.
It would be music to our ears if you also had:
• A baccalaureate or bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, preferably with a major in business, augmented by coursework in principles of music business, copyright law and/or related fields.
