Overview
The Senior Database Marketing Analyst designs and executes print and digital subscriber acquisition, and retention marketing campaigns for tronc properties utilizing SAS Customer Intelligence Studio. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player, high performer with keen data skills, marketing instinct and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
• Execution tasks include utilizing the SAS Customer Intelligence Studio tool to develop campaigns that extract specified data from the marketing database. Additional tasks include adding/modifying data sources using SAS Information Map Studio to make the data available for campaigns.
• Utilize SAS Enterprise Guide to perform quality checks in order to validate campaign selection. Other tasks include user acceptance testing and adhoc data requests
• Work in conjunction with the Marketing teams to develop campaign specifications as well as provide input on ways to improve campaign efficiency and profitability.
• Work closely with the Customer Analytics team to look at performance of campaigns and identify new strategies
Qualifications
• 5+ years of applicable experience required
• Strong knowledge of SAS Customer Intelligence Studio, SAS Information Map Studio or other marketing automation software.
• Experience with SAS Enterprise Guide preferred
• SAS programming a plus
• SQL and relational database knowledge
• Attention to detail/quality and comfortable working with large data sets
• Creative, technically strong, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Works well in a team environment but be able to work individually with minimal supervision
• Able to effectively balance multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of statistical concepts
• Knowledge of Direct and Database Marketing concepts
