Summary
Yelp seeks a tenacious, product-minded Business Development executive to drive advertising partnerships with leading technology companies. This entrepreneurial leader will build relationships with senior executives across the local advertising industry, negotiate multi-million-dollar revenue partnerships, launch and grow existing relationships, and execute cross-functional partnerships with direct visibility into Yelp's senior management.
Responsibilities:
• Consistently deliver new partner-driven revenue every quarter.
• Lead the partnership and deal-origination process, managing each step from strategy/planning, pipeline development, outreach, negotiation, contract drafting, implementation, and ongoing growth.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior execs from leading technology companies.
• Develop strong working relationships across Yelp departments, including product, engineering, sales, operations, legal, finance, and PR.
• Represent Yelp as a spokesperson and evangelist at industry events.
• Contribute to evolving vision of Yelp's advertising partner program.
Requirements:
• Minimum 7-12 years of experience in BD, product, channel sales management, consulting or finance.
• Experience is preferred with advertising products, APIs, and channel programs across the industry (e.g. Google, Bing, Facebook)
• Analytical experience grounded in strong business/finance fundamentals (MBA or comparable experience, e.g. corp dev, VC, consulting, investment banking, etc).
• Proven interest in technology and ability to work productively with product and engineering teams.
• Strong network of tech industry contacts, ranging from startups to established brands.
• Influential communication skills in all forms: written, presentations, negotiations, and listening.
• Passion for Yelp’s product, as well as other consumer internet/mobile products.
• Travel as needed.
