Description
Join the growing Newsy sales and partnership teams in NYC as our Operations Coordinator. This is a new role that will wear many hats and make sure that our NYC office and the sales and partnership teams are a well-oiled machine by supporting the day-to-day operations. In collaboration with account executives, sales management, clients and agencies this position is also responsible for scheduling commercial copy for national and local advertisers.
What you'll do:
• Coordinate in-office meetings (conference room bookings, greeting guests, etc) and scheduling.
• Serve as the liaison to building management and other departments.
• Manage travel, expense reports, and other administrative tasks (i.e. ordering food/snacks for the office, etc).
• Manage monthly revenue expense budget, to make sure we are on pacing, identify opportunities to reduce costs.
• Help to research, plan, and execute sales events (both in NYC and in other markets).
• Serve as backup/overflow for sales planners and account managers, around campaign booking/execution, receive/process ads for air.
• Secure and enter advertising traffic instructions for network advertisers
• Enter copy information using ad management traffic software
• Coordinate day-to-day relationship with cable rep firm and internal traffic teams, ensuring all orders are correctly booked and they receive any reports, data, in a timely manner.
• Manage quality control on new advertiser spots (i.e. getting approvals, etc).
• Work with Sales Planner to aggregate competitive analysis.
• Work with marketing to coordinate swag and sales materials.
• Help to manage ad hoc projects, including reporting, partner launches, contract maintenance, etc.
What you bring:
Education, Experience, & Certifications
• 2-4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in an operations role, managing budgets, etc.
• Preferred: Experience at a digital publisher or cable network.
• Previous broadcast experience especially with ad management and broadcast traffic systems (i.e. WideOrbit, OSI etc) desirable
• Prior Experience in managing a small/mid-size office.
