VP, Finance
Job Description:
Under minimal supervision, with considerable latitude for independent judgement and decision, the VP of finance is responsible for general oversight of the finance function for Warner Music Nashville.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
• Oversee the professional development of finance team
• Set priorities and manage workflow of finance department and function
• Oversee deal analysis, business strategy, and strategy execution
• Policy compliance and internal control
• Evaluate processes in order to reduce costs and improve effectiveness while being reactive to changes in business needs due to implementation of 360 artist deals
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions
• Operations and systems oversight, continuous efforts to improve efficiency and control costs
Supervisory Responsibilites
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of finance employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with WMG policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: interviewing, hiring, and training finance employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance.

Education
• 4-year college degree with a major in accounting, business, or music business
• CPA and/or a Master's degree in related field
Skills
Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office packages, must have experience with ERP accounting systems; must have knowledge of general business practices; must possess a strong work ethic, strong organizational skills and pay high attention to detail. Must have strong communication skills (written and verbal); must possess ability to adhere to deadlines and execute on tasks and handle multiple, diverse assignments; must produce quality work and be accountable; must manage time and possess ability to work well in team; must demonstrate ability to be innovative and suggest changes/improvements within scope of work; must be able to anticipate needs and create efficient and effective processes. Must be a self starter, self motivated, and take responsibility/ownership of tasks; must have the ability to proactively think outside the box, strategically and analytically; must consistently take initiative; must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing situations
Experience
7 or more years in management within a record or other similar entertainment company. Must be experienced in managing a department/staff.
