You will be joining our newly minted User Experience Research team at Yelp. Be ready to pioneer exciting research opportunities and help us develop innovative products and services. You’ll do this in a flat, collaborative, highly impactful, no-BS and no-bureaucracy environment.
As a UX Researcher you will have a large impact on defining how Yelp does research and help shape the future of product research at Yelp. The right candidate will have a love for working in a collaborative environment with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude!
What You Will Do:
• Conduct research studies that vary in approach, scale, scope, timeframe, and methodologies that will dramatically shape our product direction.
• Identify, prioritize, and plan studies before executing, synthesizing, and communicating your findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with our Product Management and Product Design teams to identify areas of improvement or feature development.
We Are Looking For:
• 3+ years of demonstrable experience in various qualitative and/or quantitative research projects that have direct business impact.
• Ability to define key user research questions, identify methods and logistics, execute and synthesize data to generate actionable insights.
• Pragmatic and able to design appropriate research approaches within constraints, dealing with a changing schedule and priorities.
• Experience and knowledge of conducting usability tests, lab studies, field studies, surveys, benchmarking studies, etc. in person as well as remotely.
• Dedication to finding actionable insights and incorporating them into product experience.
• Passion and curiosity for researching product experience and informing product innovation.
• Degree in Psychology, Social Sciences, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, a related field or equivalent experience.
