As a trusted industry tastemaker, The Bowery Presents produces dynamic entertainment experiences at dozens of venues nationally, presenting more than 2,500 shows per year.
The Associate Talent Buyer is responsible for booking club level shows as well as assisting with the booking of shows at the arena level in a specified region. Additionally, this position is responsible for the execution of all aspects of shows including the tracking of ticketing, marketing, contracts production and other show related aspects. The Associate Talent Buyer is expected to work collaboratively with venue staff and agents in successfully executing duties.
Essential Duties Include:
1. Collaborate with agents and management in order to build offers and book venue offers for club size shows. Build a plan for the creation of an offer and submit for approval.
2. Work with marketing department for every show which includes but is not limited to sending out newsletters, e-cards, updating social media, designing local print advertisements and requesting online banner ads.
3. Coordinate radio promotions, place media buys via TV, radio and mall outlets targeting the intended demographic for each show.
4. Search for new talent via periodicals, social media, and billboards in order to stay current with new talent and increase profitability.
5. Stay on top of music industry trends through research of tour history, market relevance and product release to remain competitive in the market and attract new partnerships and deals.
6. Other duties as they arise including but not limited to basic administrative tasks, responding to inquiries, covering shows, act as liaison between venue, artist and AEG Presents.
7. May also be involved in marketing meetings to brainstorm and produce creative ideas or ways to increase ticket sales and discuss potential new projects.
8. Develop and monitor ads for social media posts. Produce new, unique and fun ways to engage fans.
Required Qualifications Include:
1. A minimum education level of: Bachelor of Arts/Sciences Degree (4-year) in Marketing, Public Relations, or a related area
2. 2 -4 Years of related work experience
3. Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
4. Experience working with social media and social media marketing.
5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
6. Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Computer savvy and skilled in MS Office (Outlook, Word and Excel); knowledge of social media platforms
8. Ability to work independently to perform job, as well as in a team environment
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to prioritize work load and meet strict deadlines.
11. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships.
12. Ability to build and foster working relationships with artist management
13. Knowledge of music industry preferred
14. Experience with existing industry contracts preferred
