Job Description
KIII-TV in Corpus Christi, TX is seeking to hire a part-time Content/Assignment Editor. This is an entry level position. This role will take on some of the duties of a traditional assignment editor, but will also involve publishing to digital platforms content that is gathered and confirmed on the desk. Strong news judgment, organizational skills and the ability to work under a deadline are required. Writing skills are a must. Our content editors must have the ability to navigate and gather content using all digital platforms, and know what it means to be a social listener. This position will work closely with the digital team to distribute content on different platforms, depending on the story. The content editor will also work with the content manager on logistics for daily news gathering and long-term planning.
