Oracle Arena & Oakland/Alameda County Coliseum are AEG Facilities-managed venues and Northern California's premiere sports and entertainment venues home to the Oakland Athletics (MLB), Oakland Raiders (NFL) and Golden State Warriors (NBA). Additionally, we host the top entertainers, family shows and special events at our venues.
Job Summary:
The Operations Manager coordinates and supervises staff and all activities involved in the successful execution of event conversions, facility duties, adhoc reports, and building operation needs.
Essential Functions:
• Manages and assists with all aspects of operations including ensuring staffing needs, scheduling, setups, conversions, enforcing safety procedures, implementing building and departmental policies, while maintaining superior customer service
• Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational issues; Provide ample updates on a regular basis on all operations projects
• Acts as liaison with tenants, contractors, and facility users as needed
• Identifies and reports irregularities and discrepancies relating to operational costs, budgetary costs for ongoing projects, site-wide projects with vendors and tenants, payroll discrepancies, etc., damage or loss of property or any other safety concerns to Executive staff
• Oversees personnel and the performance of various duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met
• Manages all aspects of projects by given timelines; Run, analyze and present adhoc reports for ongoing operational improvement plans
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• A minimum education level of: BA/BS Degree (4-year) in a related field
• A minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience
• Previous experience managing multiple sites/locations
• Highly organized with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively both verbally and in writing
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); and ability to learn required business systems
• General knowledge and experience in operational procedures, facility conversions, event related services
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, CAD prints, drawings, operations instructions and other related material
• CAD certification a plus
