Responsibilities
• Prepare, submit and serve as lead negotiator for offers for General Services Administration (GSA) multiple award schedule contracts, blanket purchase agreements and Teaming Partner Agreements
• Conduct “at-the-table” pricing, terms and conditions, and negotiate offers to result in successful, timely and profitable contracts for Canon
• Negotiate subcontract terms and conditions with federal government contracts and BPAs and serve as lead negotiator to reseller and system integrator terms and conditions with companies marketing Canon products to the federal government customer
• Review contracts to determine compliance with established government requirements and implement necessary adjustments
• Maintain relationship with GSA and BPA contract holders to ensure that Canon is viewed as a valued partner
• Support and guide the Bids, Pricing and Administration teams on contract terms and conditions to help ensure compliance
• Ensure all contract information is accurate and disseminate this information to affected internal departments to inform them of their respective roles in the contract
• Serve as the principal source of information for internal personnel and ensure full understanding of all contractual requirements, terms and conditions by Sales Representatives and Order Administration personnel
• Manage the publication of contract pricing schedules and modifications
• Administer awarded contracts which include modification preparation
• Announce contract and BPA modifications to Canon personnel, dealers and customers
• Serve as the federal contract point of contact, jointly with the Compliance and Internal Audit departments, in pre-award audits with GSA in order to ensure continued and complete contract compliance
• Represent the Company’s position on government contracting issues at industry association general and committee product specific meetings
• Manage the Teaming Partner Program by guiding dealers and partners through the terms and conditions of the program
• Negotiate agreements with partners as needed and provide support during the sales cycle
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 6 years experience with managing a GSA Federal Schedule or equivalent required
• Experience with contract negotiation, government regulations, federal audits, and compliance training required
• Must have in-depth knowledge of the GSA Multiple Award Schedule Program rules and regulations, General Services Administration Regulations (GSAR) and the Federal Information Resources Management Regulation (FIRMR), and a thorough knowledge of GSA audit procedures and law principles involving Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and superior interpersonal skills in order to effectively work across Canon departments and with external agencies, dealers and customers
• Must be comfortable at making decisions based on guidelines from Senior Management
