OVERVIEW OF ROLE (Scope)
Manage IFC’s digital media strategy, including management of O&O apps, web properties, and digital video and editorial content to successfully translate the IFC brand and business strategies to digital media.
He/she is responsible for the development, maintenance, documentation and processes associated with IFC’s site and apps. He/she is responsible for managing IFC’s digital marketing efforts. He/she will be a key contributor in ensuring that the Company offers the best and most reliable experiences available to its audiences, working within budget and on time.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WEB
• Build backend CMS structure to support show and video launches.
• Recommend improvements to ensure that site is easy to navigate and functioning.
• Oversee development of marketing elements, including graphics, banners, pages, and sponsor materials for integrated marketing campaigns.
• Provide design direction to maintain creative and production standards for content produced off-site and across digital platforms.
• Capture, review and analyze site statistics for distribution of relevant reporting to management.
• Prepare and distribute emails to the IFC subscriber list.
PRODUCT
• Act as network and brand liaison with Product Managers and larger AMCN Product team to coordinate app and build rollouts.
• Assist with weekly QA of platforms and episode launches and ensure automated distribution is functioning.
• Develop cross-platform marketing materials to maintain up-to-date store listings and capitalize on promotional opportunities.
• Craft push and in-app notification campaigns to increase user engagement.
• Respond to tech-related questions and user feedback; manage IFC customer service process.
• Follow industry and technology updates to suggest and develop product innovations or partnerships for the IFC brand.
BUSINESS
• Manage digital video strategy, including selection of marketing clips, release timing, and outlet partnerships with VOD, EST, and TVE services as well as YouTube and YouTube channel managers.
• Maintain department direct budget and ensure monthly invoices are received on time and oversee vendor onboarding process.
• Develop relationships with key partners and vendors (YouTube, Facebook, various agencies).
• Work with Research to track web and product behavior to identify successes, failures, and potential improvements.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS (Both Internal & External)
• SVP and senior executive offices.
• Corporate digital and product teams.
• Corporate Legal department.
• Network PR, graphics, integrated marketing, scheduling, and marketing departments.
• Outside digital and design vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS (Required & Preferred)
GENERAL
• Minimum of 5 years experience in website development and product management.
• Experience with enterprise CMS architectures and tools.
• Knowledge of JIRA and Agile workflow.
• Successful track record interfacing and communicating effectively across cross-functional teams (business and technology).
• Excellent knowledge of user experience, usability requirements, and an overall strong sense of design, layout, information architecture, and navigation of web sites and apps.
• Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must be able to take ownership, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Strong planning, problem solving, analysis, presentation, documentation and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work independently and in teams, grasp new areas of expertise quickly, and produce high quality results.
TECHNICAL
• Excellent knowledge and hands on experience with HTML, CSS, XML and JavaScript.
• Advanced skills and a high degree of experience with Adobe PhotoShop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Advance knowledge of Microsoft’s suite of software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Superior knowledge of current web and product design trends and techniques.
